Day 3/365: Portrait of Thomas O'Malley the Alley Cat. This portrait was not easy, we spent 1 hour and 50 frames to get it right. I like the broad lighting on his face and the warm tones of his coat. this was taken on a d700 / 50 mm 1.4 lens. I love this portrait. I think it will be made into a large print for my wall.

Flowers at night. Day 2 this photo was lit only by low voltage landscape light taken at 10:00pm. Very little photo enhancing.

Day 2: A portrait of my next door neighbor. I took this photo after having a conversation about the care of our lawns. He seemed flattered that I took this photo. I like the feel and the quality of light. It was taken at about 8:00 pm with a Nikon d700 FX with a 50 1.4 lens.

Day 1: This is a photo taken in my backyard on June 28th 2011. I liked how the light played off the field and the spray of the sprinkler in the lower right of the image. it has the feeling of a late summer evening.
